According to Bloomberg, AIG has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government alleging that it overpaid for taxes in 1991. The lawsuit seeks a cool $30.2 million. 

Oh and by the way, the U.S. government still owns 61% of AIG due to the 2008 bailout, which amounted to more than $180B.

In this past year, my accountant of many years has died, and a chemist I used mostly for compliance issues has retired.  It took this to truly realize what an onerous burden the federal govt. places on us.

what you describe aig doing deosn't sound right or moral, but as long as it is inside the law, i guess there is nothing to be done.
