Boxing Day in the stores

What did you find if you ventured out the day after Christmas? I didn't find any of the madness that's supposed to be there as people return gifts and use their gift cards. I found a quiet Target and a mall that had more than usual, but nothing major. There were a lot of people grabbing bargains in the Sears shoe department. That's my anecdotal info. What's yours?

My wife went to Wal-Mart last night (Dec. 26) around 8:30pm to return and exchange a couple of things and called to ask me if we needed anything else while she was there because it was DEAD.

Boxing day is a great tradition, but I didn't know we celebrated it in the U.S.

Now is a good time to shop if you don't like crowds, but I have found very lean inventory, and nothing that I was actually looking for.

I was going to stock up on Christmas decorations for next year, but my wife reminded me I was already on the verge of appearing on that reality show, "Hoarders".

She just doesn't understand that my "stuff" is all valuable and will be unloaded on EBay when I retire.

At least, that is how I justify not putting it out on the curb.

Hope all have a Happy and Prosperous new year.
