Spain's largest workers union Comisiones Obreras could call a general strike to protest the government's austerity measures, its head Ignacio Fernandez Toxo said on Friday ...
Athens, Bangkok, Bucharest, Madrid, Lisbon.....the trend towards structural breakdowns in society is spreading.
Right now, in America, the only reason that government workers havn't felt the same economic discomfort as private sector workers is because government has been able to borrow trillions of dollars whille the private sector has been cut off of credit.
The best example of the collapse from being cut off of credit is real estate development and land values.....
Las Vegas land prices: 80% off peak
Government is a major employer of people as over 22,000,000 million people work for government, most of health care is funded by government, and untold number of independent contractors and servicers are paid by government.
THE ONLY REASON THAT THE PRIVATE SECTOR IS COLLAPSING AND NOT GOVERNMENT/HEALTH CARE/WALL STREET IS BECAUSE GOVERNMENT IS BORROWING ABOUT $2 TRILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR TO PAY ITS BILLS AND BAILOUT BANKERS.
How long do you think the private sector workers, and any government workers who lose their jobs or suffer wage cuts, are going to sit back and do nothing while bankers, wall street exectutives, and federal workers get pay raises and bonuses simply because government is accessing credit and the private sector can't?
WE HAVE REACHED THE POINT IN AMERICA WHERE AMERICANS CANNOT RECEIVE A LIVING WAGE WITHOUT GOVERNMENT BORROWING MASSIVELY!!!
More and more are beginning to say enough at the inequity......the unrest is now spreading across Europe and other locations.....it is not unlikely such unrest will hit our shores.....
How this plays out is anyone's guess...but one thing for sure....if we maintain the current path of falling wages and rising costs while lavishly subsidizing a few....much of the industrial age will likely shut down much quicker than many expect.
