THE ZOMBULATOR SHUTTING DOWN AMERICA AS WE ARE TOLD BY BENNY THE B ABOUT THE RECOVERY

A business that's been in Boise for decades tells KTVB it is closing in weeks.  Michael's Furniture Showcase is in foreclosure and the store is clearing out merchandise.

It's the most recent store in the Treasure Valley to announce it's pending closure.
This month, we've reported Macy's in downtown Boise is closing, and the Sam's Club in Nampa.
We've also learned four stores in the Boise Town Square Mall are locking up, too.

At its peak, Michael's furniture had ten stores and 135 employees in the Treasure Valley.
Now the store is down to one building and 15 people on the payroll.
"It's really sad to me. They are a great store, great people," customer Dave Cunningham said.

But the closure of Michael's hits home for many who worry: if this popular local business can not survive, who can?

IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD....SIMPLY THE END OF A WORLD AS YOU KNOW IT.
