Capital Punishment Picked Up

Recs

Hey Fools,

Massive thanks to all my CAPS friends for the positive response to the first Capital Punishment. The Fool has picked up the comic strip and for now we're trying it as a daily gig. I can't tell you all how excited I am to be doing this. Any time I get a public forum to clip the suspenders of Wall Street's wisest and wickedest, life is good.  I'm incredibly grateful to the Fools and CAPS players who took the time to comment on the NFLX one. It's amazing how much fuel one gets from a simple compliment, rec or word of encouragement. It's objective truth to me that this is the world's greatest investment community.

I'm going to give this 1,000% - scouring every business publication/site for every bit of chicanery I can find. Please email me any time you see blessed and deserving "targets of satire" - hypocrisy, stupidity, lying, cheating, selfishness, greed, ugliness, debauchery. You know, the good stuff.

Okay, here's links to the first two that have been published ...

The Original Comic - The Death of Blockbuster

Today's Comic - The Resignation of Mark Hurd

And allow me to adjust my blonde wig, put on some nasty lipstick and act like a great big fat streetwalking comic artist hooker by asking for your recs if you do like these.

Thanks again, mofos!

Best,

H. Wood Dan, Soon to be Chicago Dan if this infernal house sale ever goes through.

FWIW, I'll post the actual comics in this blog after they've had a chance to breathe on Fool.Com.

About today's comic, I love the way the glasses are just about to slide off his nose.

I don't think you will run out of material anytime soon :(.

May your comic muse continue. All the best!

Thank you very much, lemoneater.  Great name by the way. Really appreciate it.  So true on the material - we are arguably living through one of the most corrupt periods of staggering greed and corporate wickedness of all time.

It's not actually clear to me that Mark Hurd's malfeasance was as terrible as you're making it out to be.  The guy is entrusted to run a $100B market cap company, and suddenly we're dickering about less than $100,000 in flawed reporting over dinners with PR people?

The aggravating factors:

1)  The PR person in question was nude in print 20 or so years ago.  This has not been a crime, as far as I know.

2)  The PR person in question accused him of sexual harassment, but did not prove her allegation.

Given the above facts, are we now certain that Mark Hurd is the worst human being ever to walk the earth?

ikkyu - the bottom line, as I see it, is he is a brilliant guy who did something extraordinarily stupid because of his pecker. That's funny. And comedy is the key here. I have many doubts about this woman and think she is full of horse-sh*t. Agree with you completely on that front.

Definitely looking forward to more of your comics, HD - they always have a 'zing' to them, and I love seeing the top brass get zinged.

ikkkyu - thanks a lot, bro-Fool. Really appreciate it. Building a database of slothful, wicked, sinful, hilariousness in business as we speak.  If you see anything that pisses you off or is unintentionally hilarious - let me know.  I'm in that interesting and awesome moment of stark-raving but inspired terror in which I now have to live up to my own blathering hype about what this could be.
