Has anybody else noticed the Hypno Toad seems to have a cult of glassy-eyed followers? It's like some weird sci fi movie where all these people in robes are wielding torches and bowing before a giant toad.

And then a space-time rift opens in the sky and out hops the Power Rangers and Adolf Hitler.

And then they fight, using their mad kung fu skills. (You knew Hitler had mad kung fu skills, right?)

And then the cult vanquishes Hitler.

And then you find out that it was a fake Hitler, and the real Hitler possesses the body of the Toad.

And then Bob Newhart wakes up, and it was all a dream.

Does anybody else get that feeling?

I liked Hypno back before he was cool. Now he's sold out and gone mainstream to get more viewers. I don't know anybody who reads his stuff anymore.

I see what you mean, GMX. If you click on May or June 2007 on his blog, the writing is still fresh. He wants it. But he loses his way early in 2008. For example, if you compare his Nov. 2, 2008 post with his first May 31, 2007 post, or his second May 31, 2007 post -it's like night and day. He just isn't as nuanced anymore. Of course, what's the point in using nuance if you're writing for millions of unsubtle people?

And check out this djemonk fellow. He's given up all worldly pleasure and for what? To don the Hypno Toad's robes and usher in an era of '64 El Caminos and ceiling hopscoth! I don't see the point!
