listen.. all the nice fancy features on motley fool are cute and everything but until the FOOLS get their data correct this game is lame. looking at financial ratios, dividends etc. half of it is wrong. this is unacceptable.

FIX IT NOW!! PLEASE REC FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY.

Especially the dividend %'s. So annoying. Most foreign companies don't pay quarterly dividends that should be annualized and I'm sick of seeing companies with suspended dividends showing up with 10% yields!

I generally rely on other sources for actual financial data on a stock.  Or if the data looks weird I double check it agains Yahoo Finance. All I can say is you get what you pay for.

I use Google Finance.  CAPS is awesome for some things, not so great for others.  It's nice to have this info as a quick reference, but not for financial analysis.

I agree 100%. They do not even compare to other sources.

I have never used them to gather any financial information, only opinions.

I use morningstar, yahoo and stockhouse.  If I like what I see, I will download the companys MD&As and financial reports.

Motley Fool is the best, and it is unacceptable for inaccurate information to be common.

I am willing to be patient, but my advise is; "Fix it now".

We were close with Interactive Data to improve the quality of the market and fundamental data that they provide for CAPS.  The dividend yield problem mentioned above is a bug that is being fixed.  Currently IDC doesn't inform us when a company stops paying a dividend and CAPS continues to show the prior dividend yields.  This will be corrected soon.

As far as any other fundamental data problems, please repor them through our CAPS Feedback page

Thanks!
