IF REALITY DISTURBS YOU.....go make pancakes on an eclectic griddle or play with your plasmas.

As the Zombulator sweeps across America cutting off credit to the nation, shutting down factoriers, kicking families out of their homes, dumping the disabled from jobs, and forcing millions on the streets or in tents.....expect massive amounts of layoffs in the next few months as we come closer to Zombulation Nation.

On October 23, International Paper announced the closure of three plants, resulting in the loss of 1,600 jobs. By mid-December, the closures will leave 270 workers in Albany, Oregon, and 230 workers in Pineville, Louisiana, without jobs. Most devastating is the spring 2010 closure of an enormous mill in Franklin, Virginia, which will result in 1,100 job cuts.

Once enough people are not working.....so few will that government will collapse under its own weight and rising obligations.....at that point, we become Zombulation Nation where everyone will need to be taxed 100% of assets simply to maintain the soverignty of America.

How could Alstry know this was coming?  How could Motely Fool not warn you??????????

Amazing how the people have become sheeple simply thinking if they had enough flat screens, the future would be just like the past.....

Welcome to the Alstrynomic revolution....it is not the end of the world nor is it doom and gloom.....simply the end of the world as you know it and a portal into a brand new system.

The question now is what vehicle will drive us into the new world....war or economic collapse......right now the odds are about 50/50 and could even include both.

FHA broke.....FDIC broke....Fannie Mae broke......Pension Gurananty broke.....Social Security Cash Flow negative.....Dubai broke....Iceland broke.....Ireland broke.....California  broke......New York broke......anyone see a pattern developing into 1.01.10????????????????????????????????

Now what is a good way to score points in this environment????  Has anyone noticed how low most of the points are of the most vocal alstrybaters????

Seems short-sighted to me to not listen to a viewpoint that may differ from yours.

If you don't like alstrys blogs don't click

If he's taking up a couple of slots on the blogs post hit more.

Personaly, I like to think of Alstrys posts as pure sarcasm about the state we now find ourselves in. Sometimes I click sometimes I don't.

I read Alstry's posts for the shear fact that he does post a different point of view.  I heckle Alstry because his claims about a great many things go against his claim that he is all about being right/correct.

Heaven help us if his predictions come to fruition; but like msftgev stated, it is a bit short-sighted to not at least entertain a point of view that differs from your own. So, while I do not agree with Alstry and get as annoyed as many with his repetitive postings about the end of the world as we know it, I do appreciate that I live in a country that allows so many points of view and gives everyone the freedom to post about them.

Fool on...

Disclaimer: Motley Fool score comparisons are a bit skewed and in my opinion are no real way to determine whether or not the person writing a BLOG is smarter than the next because they have a higher score than the next.  Like much in the investing world, the only real way to know if someone is smarter than the next is to research them and take some time to do your equivalent of due diligence.  Alstry may be smarter than the rest of us, or he may be a crackpot...only time and research can actually prove that out.

If you want to look at the accuracy of my blogging....my suggestion is read  what I was blogging about a year and a half ago and where we are today.

We are about to see millions of people get let go and huge numbers of businesses shut down........the fallout will be a mess......but a war or other event will be my  guess so our bankers won't have to confess.

One can read and listen to the words of the world’s greatest investor, Warren Buffett, or read and listen to some person with a mental disorder who blogs incessantly on a website.  Freedom of speech is a terrific blessing.  We are also afforded the option to not read the words of a person with a mental disease.  My concern is for those that are naïve or new investors.  Please be open to other ideas, opinions and viewpoints.  However, I also urge caution regarding the source of your information.  Anyone who staunchly holds to one view, refers to themself in the third person, incessantly creates “meaningful” dates and then changes them, etc. is not someone from which you should seriously take investment or economic pearls of wisdom.  This person needs counseling.

Who is betting against the American economy....

Anybody who thinks this is a cyclical recession is truly a Fool.

This is the beginning of a brand new economy where much of what is of value today will have no value tomorrow.......it is the beginning of a new world as you will know it.

Can't believe no one is at least entertaining the Idea that Alsrys act may be due to sarcasm also.

I guess I should be pissed since he knocked off my last blog about actual investing, but after all we are playing a game.

I only respond out of concern for folks and perhaps some of the ennui on a chilly day to which you referred.  I suppose there is a place for sarcasm, although, to be honest, I struggle with it's place here.  The preservation and accumulation of wealth should be taken very seriously if one wants to be successful.

The internet can be a great forum, but folks like Alstry are certainly a concern.  Alstry, please get some counseling or find a meaningful hobby / activity.  What you are doing is a desperate cry for attention and disturbing.  At the very worst someone may lose money because of you.
