Watching Boehner and Cantor and Reid comment on their great success in passing this debt plan reminded me of a todler who reaches into his diaper, pulls out a poop and proclaims to the world: "Look what I made!"

yes let's all congratulate them on barely being able to kick the can at the very last minute and doing nothing substantial to alleviate our problems in any fashion.

To borrow the quote from Paul O'Neill, the former Treasury Secy, on Bloomberg this morning:  "The problem with this town (DC) is when the circus is over, the clowns stay in town."

I just hope political stuff takes a backseat to the market fundamentals. I am sick of this garbage. At least Congress goes on a month-long hiatus..... to go home and dial for dollars. So I guess they're going out of town, but unfortuantely they will come back.

Yet the headlines read "Obama Signs Historic Debt Deal".  Historic?...like it was some great accomplishment?  The debt ceiling was raised...something that's been done many times...only historic because if was the first time Congress has sought to flaunt their pure idiocy before the entire world as the debt ceiling was raised.  How do we end up with so many career politicians when the approval rating of Congress is consistently awful?
