f(t) = c + a * t^b is the "fit" for the price curve p(t).
That function and a few more examples are shown in the "original" post mentioned above.
Of course everyone familiar with the graph of the square root function and looking at a few semi-logarithmic charts every now and then could have easily made the conjecture I made ...
