As a shareholder and owner of GM and its products, I say don't let the door hit you on the way out, seriously.
I wasn't too impressed hearing about him joining GM and I'm doubtful that he really was anything more than an ineffectual honorary title holder exec with that different strange accent so goodluck to the next organization that he jumps ship to.
While he was probably slightly better than the previous guy, did he really have the background and education or was he simply lucky enough to become chosen ?
In my assessment someone with no financial degree should not become the Chief Financial officer, anyways I just want to toss my cookies when some talking head tries to infer that the downturn in GM is partly because he's leaving. I say he was lucky to be chosen, especially given the poor performance at his previous employer Microsoft and his educational background.
In my assessment its like the first mate looking to jump ship on captain Hazelwoods tanker . So I hope they do not overcompensate the first mate. In this case the first mate doesn't properly know how to steer the ship or what all the fancy buttons and buzzers do.
Clearly I am not a fan and he reminds me of some people that I encounter in life who are uncommitted in the tasks they take on, never stay at any job to be properly assessed or held accountable, and are the first ones to flee or surrender in a situation or jump to switch sides.
