It is simply what happens when you primarily give handouts to Washington and Wall Street and not much elsewhere.....relatively speaking of course......

The pharmaceutical industry - 6,000 Jobs in September

Boston Superintendent Proposes Closing 6 Schools

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority NY - Cancelled Contracts means 850 layoffs

The Los Angeles Unified School District - New Budget Could = Thousands of Layoffs

WHERE ARE THE PANCAKE EATERS, FLAT SCREEN WATCHERS, AND CHIMPS WHEN YOU NEED THEM.....

We have simply become a nation of handouts......and most of it are going to sooooo few on Wall Street and in Washington......

now the question is how long this can last before it mathematically falls apart?

Zombulation....Concentric Contraction....Collective Interdependence......Deficit Multiplier Effect.....all creations of the Institute of Alstrynomics now coming to life......

ok, so...

Let's say, just for fun, everything goes bad, real bad...

Would you re-institute the dollar as the national currency?  A different "fiat" currency? Pure gold coin of the realm?

On a side note, if I ever make it into the White House, (right), would you be interested in a cabinet position?
