Oh crap. 

On July 7, the last of three independent British commissions exonerated prominent climate scientists at the University of East Anglia of any wrongdoing in the so-called "Climategate," in which mysterious (and still anonymous) hackers trashed their reputations and confused public understanding of important climate science.

Meanwhile, back in America, prominent climatologist Michael Mann, also reviled by critics for his "Climategate" e-mails (and for his solid climate science), was similarly exonerated by a full review panel at Penn State University, where he teaches. Most important, all review panels affirmed the underlying science, and thereby the established scientific consensus that human activity is warming the planet. "The rigor and honesty of the scientists in not in doubt," the British panel concluded.

This means the science is most likely correct, not a super secret plot of 10,000,000 climate scientists to transfer David in Qatar's or ChrisGraley's money to undeserving political hacks.

Or at least to me it does.

So now what? Hope david and chris can convince me that a plot still exists?

Perhaps it is time to cut down on my oil and coal consumptionto and take a second look at renewable energy companys. There are some big ones, Siemens, Aerovironment and GE come to mind, as do some smaller ones in the tickers.

I never cared and never will about what you believe.  I have never named you in a post and rarely cared enough to point people your way. 

If you want to believe these "independent" commissions that included an 18 year veteran of East Anglia and Phil Jones himself ROFL, feel free to do so.  

From the start you had no interest in looking into the discrepancies and lying.  And neither did they, so you would have been perfect for the job!

The bottom line is that we're winning and the establishment is losing.  Liberty is far more popular than tyranny and the public has is awake to the sheningans of not only the IPCC and its merry crew, but the entire fake Left-Right paradigm that you are brainwashed by.  There's no stopping us anymore.   Now go hide under the covers and pray that daddy government will save you from racist right wing Libertarrepublicanteabagfringebirthers.

Of course there was never any secret global warming plot. Can you just imagine scientists all secretly getting together on a worldwide basis and cooking the global warming data? I mean it's just absurd beyond even warranting discussion. Anyone who has spent any time at all in academia knows how stupid the concept is.

For all the attention given to the supposedly damning emails, there has been a tiny fraction of that attention given to the results noted in your blog, Devo, not to mention various other assessments of the situation that conclude the same thing.

Supposedly selectively choosing facts is at the heart of this debate, yet those who think global warming is a hoax are out there very selectively choosing their facts.

You've already seen the argument against the repudiation that there was some sort of scam going on; you just can't believe those scientists.

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying recording temperatures across the nation as we continue to not have global warming.

Yep, we reviewed ourselves and we didn't do anything wrong. Well we didn't review ourselves, but we paid very big money to "Independent experts"  to review us and they say that we didn't do anything wrong. Oops, no I mean we didn't actually pay anybody and these experts do this stuff as a hobby. And by experts, I don't mean that they were climatologists because climatologists might have a conflict of interest. We know that we told you before that the only people that understand this stuff are climatologists, but these are the few other totally independent experts that happen to be climatologically inclined. (hobbyists are like that)

Oh who am I kidding! We lost a lot of research money and we called in a few favors from politicians to make the whole thing go away with the hope that a few years from now you'll forget about the fraud and trust us again.

BTW, I beat the Japanese beetles devoish and I did it organically.  I did not know until recently that you can buy traps for them. They had a field day on all of my rose bushes, most of my strawberry plants and some of my cucumber and tomato plants until I got that bit of advice.

If the CO2 is the cause, please explain the Medieval Warming Period, when temps were as high or higher than today AND the CO2 was lower.

It is an investing topic. I refer you again to the tickers. OPTT, LXU, SI, GE, AVAV, TSL and many others, WFI on the TSX.

I am repairing my house. I am installing geothermal heating/ac and tossing out the old oil burner. My energy costs will be reduced by at least 30% annually. With Federal subsidies the break even cost for me is seven or fewer years out. ( Keep winning David.) If I was building a new house and not buying an oil burner and baseboards it would be less than five.

Ron Paul is not the fringe statesman anymore.  He's the mainstream.  Nancy Pelosi is fringe. John Boehner is. Lindsey Graham is. John McCain is.  Barry Huessin Obama is.

Meanwhile, the dead stream media is going down.  Newspapers bleeding cash.  Broadcast TV ratings at all time lows!  Don't you get it?  We're tuning you out.  We are no longer interested in tyranny. 

Liberty crushes tyranny on a level playing field.  It's over.  Let go of the fake left/right paradigm.  It was a con job to keep you from questioning authority.  That's why you can't bring yourself to criticize Obama for having the same friends as Bush, his Goldman Sachs ties, the widening of the war into Pakistan, the authorization of assassinations of American citizens, the total sweeping tyranny the true power elite is continuing. 

I guess it's tough to free a mind after a certain point, but I think anyone can be freed.

CO2 causes global warming, because if it doesn't, Dev and co. don't get paid. They have become very accustomed to lavish digs, and their monthly nut has become outer-worldly.

President Obama gets enough criticism, much of it undeserved, from you. In fact it is your blind bashing of Government, and especially your hatred of an undeserving middle class that has made me understand how valuable Government is.

Plus I like to be different. I almost always find it a better starting point for understanding. And on this website it is certainly not different to whine about Government. It is boringly repetitive though.

Please continue ranting and repeating. I'll invest in the decline of fossil fuel as energy, at the hands of world governments and its own harder to reach assets.

My hope is that governments, with my support, will prevent the destruction of natural resources in the pursuit of riskier and riskier oil, coal and nuclear energy sources, rather than let them self destruct in death and take those resources with them.

I've seen plenty that don't carry their own weight. I've seen plenty that the general population should be protected from. the very essence of government takes the tribal responsibility to be a quality person, and substitutes it with an anonymous set of ideals based on a pyramid scheme currency. The whole purpose of being a good person to benefit the rest is completely lost. Now, we only have the illusion of kindness, but it is generally for profit, and the illusion of order, but it's just rule by the highest criminals.

After yesterday what big ben was saying I think after wall streets reaction congress was forced to invest AH to raise the stock market today. I googled last night if usa govt would buy stocks to save us and found some tangible stuff. I suspected because nobody was investing after the 2008 crash and 2009 rally may have been a by product of usa govt stock purchase program and now it's starting to fall apart with the economy and they have 2 trillion left to keep the house of cards propped up.........................

I think there are right wing nut jobs - the Dems, and extremist wacko right wing nut jobs - the Repubs/conservatives/libertarians. And there are environmentalists who are mostly getting it right. And a few  that go to far.

But you and David and Chris do not tell me what to think. I tell you what I think.

I would like you to explain a little further about whatever you are talking about in comment #13. Not the carbon tax, i know what that should be. The crushing the underdog if it is not retroactive part.

Thanks for the lifestyle tips, but neither of us has to go that far. I explained what I am doing, although I left out increasing the insulation in my house. I will stop buying oil completely and that is bad for the economy (Economy is a word that means redistribution of wealth) but good for me. Mwahahahaha. Join me or perish as I plot to destroy the world as we know it. Mwahahaha
