CNBC Background Music

Did anyone else notice the spooky background music CNBC was using last week. It was very low and sounded like a funeral or the music that would accompany film footage of a disaster or the mood music when a killer or monster is sneeking up on his victim.

It played all day and then stopped when the Enlightened One, Cramer came on, but then it would start up again when Kudlow was on.

It wasn't used today, so I wonder if viewers or the news staff complained about it.

I guess maybe their reasoning is if people think they're watching a disaster unfold, they'll watch longer?  I don't know...

Everyone likes a good tragedy movie. It's escapism.

Just a note to say that the music at the end of that Kudlow clip is the very same I heard nearly all that day and they still use it on bad days.
