I interviewed several college students here on campus at Colorado State U. I think the results, as seen in my article in the student newspaper are quite interesting. College students aren't as dumb as they're often made out to be. Sadly, for word content, a lot of the interviews had to be edited down, but I still think it's a good piece. My favourite quote is as follows, Chad said, "I've heard different analogies of it. I've heard people have said that this stimulus plan is just like taking out water from one side of the lake and pouring it into another side of the lake and saying that its more full."

Yeah, I hope that we college students aren't the victims of negative stereotyping by older generations. A lot of us pay close attention to politics and economic news - especially given current circumstances. I think our only handicap is not having experienced enough real-world consequences of policy implementations. What looks great on paper may not play out so well in reality. Of course, there are historical examples anyone can point to, but you can't hope to recreate what daily life is like in the midst of crises that have already past.

The social activisim of the college years are only possible due to ignorance. Once people get jaded from thier post college worldview that activisim tends to go down until they aquire enough wealth to make it worth keeping by hiring your own PAC (and recruting enough college students to support you).

Why do you think the Dems agressivly targeted college campuses with "get out the vote" type stuff in 08. They knew they wouldn't have to face a track record older than 4 years when Bush was at his worst. When Clinton took office for his 1st term many of those kids were just out of diapers.
