I should add that the PFIC designation makes this kind of a pain (same with CEF - Central Fund of Canada) because tax prep software like TurboTax do not support the IRS forms required, forcing you to give up on electronic filing.  Yeah, I hate the IRS and its arcane tax regulations.

I recently purchased some shares of Atna.  I learned about them thru Speedybure.

Sinch I believe still owns them, too.  I don't recall him reporting on them, recently.

Sprott Resource Lending just lent them some funds to buy the Pinson Property.

Sprott Asset Management has owned shares, too.

We conducted a site visit to Serra Pelada in mid-October. On metallurgy, the flow sheet for a conventional gravity recovery plant appears to be in place and would recover about 95% of the gold. Construction for that gravity plant is scheduled to start this quarter. For platinum and palladium metallurgy, the company has been working on the optimal flow sheet, which may involve calcining to burn off the carbon. This metallurgical work is still in progress and will rely on the evaluation of the bulk sample to be collected in the second half of 2012. We're currently modeling 65% recovery of the platinum and palladium.
