This will turn out well if our government does this. Think of the back door snooping other Country's can do if our Country can do the above. How much more can Country's like China can do? Got to love it.

Although the U.S. government doesn’t “control” the Internet in the literal sense of the term, it has had contractual oversight over the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a California-based nonprofit that manages the “back end” of the Internet by assigning domains (.com, .org, .edu and the like), IP addresses and other basic web protocols.

Unfortunately, this seems to be changing, as the White House recently announced plans to transition from supervising the Internet’s architecture and may shift some of these responsibilities to countries like Russia and China, which would portend disaster for advocates of political dissent and Internet freedom.http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/04/09/icann-debate-team-obama-must-reverse-decision-on-internet-control/

Got to love the cloke and dager.
