As the printing machine keeps printing.....commodities are starting to go parabolic.......

The whole world knows who is responsible for the rapidly rising prices in commodities.....

Governments are losing control of their people as more and more are starving......

Anger is getting out of control.....and the world is looking directly at us.....

Did you fools really think we could just print money and not fight the world for that right?

My must believe in the tooth fairy......but I guess that is why you listen to English Majors for investment advice instead of thousands of years of history.

No nation in the history of humanity has been able to print money without going to war to defend the behavior....and up until now, no nation has come out of the war as the victor.....

50,000,000 Americans depend on food do you think they will react when food prices double.......and then double again....and then double again as we keep printing and printing and printing.....

Welcome to the   The Industrial Age is crashing right before our eyes as we cross the bridge into the Digital one ever said it would be easy.

alstry, you should see marc faber's latest quote about inflation.

I'm just waiting for one of these zombie apologists on CAPS explain to me how we are actually in a food bubble!

I imagine it will go something like "Well when you see someone else eating food, you get hungry! So all it takes is one idiot gorging himself and..."

If people don't want to see inflation, you won't see it. If you are one of those people, please sell me your silver because it's getter harder for me to buy and my sole purpose in life is to make sure that you don't suffer from the great silver bubble! ;)

Hi All and Alstry ...

Many of you may have been asking yourselves how you should be preparing, etc. for what is likely to come .... I found a great link talking about the most important ways to be self-reliant, etc.  Lots of great info ....

This guy also has a GREAT story about the market, discussing the rampant global inflation we're starting to see ...

bah! If the liberals have their way, the only way you are gonna see any distilled corn is if you siphon back out of your gas tank after the engine dies from ethanol.

Chris is a smart guy, but thinking about self reliance is thinking backwards......humanity is moving forward into the Digital Age....where more and more will be done with less and less human has been the trend for the last 200 years.

The perfect example is the currrent food inflation think if you had a self reliant farm in would have enough bullets in your gun to keep your starving neighbors out?

Time to think forwards...time to think about the money is the currency of the future....0s and 1s...the unknown is whether it will be tied to metals or some digital equal?

Hey alstry, you can tie money to corn if you want, but tie it to something before it flies away.

Self reliance is the only thing to think about when everyone else is trying to make money off of your destruction.

Egypt is figuring that out.

If they succeed in giving us a digital currency, gold/silver will be worth very little...otherwise very very is all war & politics...there is no fundamental way to invest anymore

On the other hand, buy a years supply of food and that will 100% be a good investment

any digital currency would have to be tied to something.  the Gig is up on fiat currencies..people of the world are realizing this and the powers at be (World bank, and IMF) are already calling for a world currency pegged to gold or silver....believe me the phrase "good as gold" will resonate like it never has before...and silver wont' be too far behind that standard...we may be moving into the digital age with the availability to move money digitally HOWEVER it will be tied to a resource like GOLD OR SILVER.. you can take that to the bank
