Okay, time to make a prediction. I usually refrain from making any predictions on "the market" or stating any "price targets". I am just fairly convinced right now that the DAX will "make new all-time highs" in the next few weeks. So that is my prediction.

Porte, why is it that Volkswagen preferred are so volatile (even more than the common)?  Is the structure much different from US-style preferred stocks (for example, are they convertible or callable)?

There must be some structural difference between VW preferred and regular US-style preferred shares?  Judging by preferred funds (PFF, PGX, PSW, etc.), the average yield on US preferreds may be around 7%.

Not a DAX comment but what's your position on ALNY?

It's drifting towards its 52 week low (after a ~5% drop yesterday) and I was curious if you were planning on purchasing or are you holding off?

I was thinking of buying some more but wanted some opinions from others.
