Dear TMF, I'm not able to leave comments...

For some reason, since Dec. 5, I'm not able to comment on any of the blog posts - neither mine nor someone else's.

Could you please help?

Thanks a lot,

dragonLZ

p.s.

This is also a test to see whether I can still create new blog posts.

I can leave comments from my phone, but not my computer. So it must be some weird setting on my computer not allowing me to leave comments.

I also had problems navigating another website yesterday (when I'd click on a link nothing would happen) so I kind of figured out it's not TMF that's a problem, but my computer

I still hope TMF IT people can tell me what setting I need to change to get this fixed.

Thank you.

Hey Dragon, looks like I can comment again. (and double post inappropriatley)

Thanks for binging this up, I figured I was banned for making salacious comments.

There's a trick to avoiding double posting.  When you click post and it seems like it didn't do so, open another window and go to a 2nd motley fool link and see if it did post.  You will then see that it did.

Harry, I can comment again, too.

Wow, I wonder what it was. If you had the same problem I did, and if both got fixed at the same time, then it can't be our computers (I guess). I know I made no changes on my end.

Either way, I'm glad I can again comment again (I know some CAPS memebers are not so happy about this).

Thank you.

I am also glad you can post and comment - all three of you!  I just happen to enjoy the things you post enormously.  A question for you.  I have been enjoying a number of youtube videos of late.  Should I post some of them just for fun?  I realize they are not investing, but everyone should have a good laugh now and then.  (Perhaps one of you software geniuses can create a contest for the most humorous videos - clean humor, Harry.)

I cannot get graphics to embed.  To see the links, it is necessary to transfer the url straight to the address line at the top of the page.

Do you know how to get the embedding to work?

Mary, I'd say you should definitely post stuff that's just for fun (not related to investing). Just don't overdo it (otherwise some will consider you a "spammer").

As for embedding graphics, here are instructions I use to embed charts. I'm not sure if this will work for youtube videos - I've never tried it.

type

img src="paste here the URL address of your image"

enclose the preceeding in < and >

Good luck.

I just tried "my instructions" and they don't work for youtube videos.

p.s.

Do you know how to post a link to a video (which I think you tried in comment# 10)?

Like this one: click here to see Mary's youtube video from #10
