I will short their stocks.

I find the new movie by Sandra Bullock extremly degrading to minorities. It's another movie about white people babysitting a black man. It's like the "good old white" family is adopting a gorilla-a black man- almost like a pet.

You might say this story is based on true story. My answer: so the story of my sister who is a doctor at UCLA and helps mentally ill white trash everyday and has changed many many lives. Why no one makes a movie about that??

This movie might make a white loser all warm and fuzzy inside, but the truth is that this kind of movies have negative effect on African American communities. A black kid may see this movie and interprete that his way to wealth is only possible by sport and physical activity.

We have countless doctors, engineers, lawyers that are minorities. The best brain surgeant at UCLA is a Mexican guy who jumped over the border 18 years ago...and guess what. His mentor wasn't a white person, it was an Iranian doctor who took him under his wing.

I guess that we don't have many minorities in Film business and this movie has upset me so much that I might just get into Film business. I want to make sure crap like this won't be made anytime soon.

If you think white supremecy is still live and well...guess again. It came to an end loooooooooooong time ago and now a days minorities are much smarter, more intelligent, more ambisious than white people could ever be.

And by white I don't mean Italian, Germans, British people....no no...just the "White" racist people in the U.S.

I have lived in Germany for 8 years and even skinheads in Germany are not as arogant and stupid as white people in this country. WHite people here think this is only their country and we are a guest here. Guess what...that all changed when we had slavrery.

This is our country now! And you either share the wealth or we take it from you. If neccessary by force!

Only you could say that The Blind Side is about white supremacy.  You sit there hypocritically saying that whites need to share the wealth and then you criticize a movie where a white family helped a disenfranchised student who happened to be black.

Economic disempowerment did not end with the end of slavery, but whites can only do so much. I argue that all the hand-outs to minorities make them more dependant and enslaved to the government than ever before.

Black kids don't need this movie to make themselves believe that they can only make it through sports. Many already believe that they only way they can make it is through sports or entertainment. Nobody teaches these kids that they can have a business and make money legitimately because they believe lies from people like you that "the man" just wants to keep them down. That gangsta culture pushes them into hobbies like slinging drugs and walking around with firearms just to be cool.

Its the same reason that 1 in 12 black males in the US will be dead before he turns 21 and 65% of black kids growing up in single parent homes have a father who has been locked up at some point in his life.

Your bitter nature has blinded you.

     You seem to harbor strong racist feelings, so it is not a suprise that you would view things from a racial point of view.  You really need to start viewing people as individuals rather than speaking in broad racial generalities.  All races have trash, ignorant, intelligent and ambitious individuals.

People who don't admit their mistake even after they made a mistake. Palin still STILL defends her comment about her foreign policy comment (neighbor to Alaska crap).

And it looks to me that many of you are like her. Instead of apologizing honestly for slavery, instead of asking for forgiveness, you say that AFrican Americans are on welfare...so are many white people. Each time I go shopping I see white people with food stamps (in Santa Monica). I see more white homless and beggers than other races.

So instead of putting down others so that you feel better about yourself, how about being an adult, and ask for forgiveness about slavry or native American killings.

If you put other down you might feel better in short term, but you can never have peace with yourself knowing you grandparents maybe killed native Americans in cold blood, or lynched black persons as if they were dogs.

I just saw the movie in question last night.  Here is my take:

It is sentimental.  Nothing wrong with that.  Our society could use a little less cynicism.

It is well acted.  For once you have people acting from their gut.  True emotion trumps crap like 2012, Transformers etc. any day of the week.

It is full of instances that take traditional stereotypes and turns them upside down.  Case in point:  All southerners are racist:False.  The main character Leigh Ann sees a teenage boy, in this case Michael Orr, walking a lonely highway in the cold.  She would have stopped to help if he were german, jewish, black, asian or american indian. It's her decency and compassion for the human condition that leads her to give this young man what he needs:  a bed to sleep on!   it also shoots down the theory that this strong black boy from the projects will end up resorting to crime and violence because that is all he knows.  his will to perservere is stronger and the only time he uses his strength and brawn is to defend those he loves.

There is still injustice in the world, the U.S. included. However we can all blog all day about it or we can do something constructive,  Like Kamran's sister or Leigh Ann and her family.  They put their money where their mouth is.  They are part of the solution. We should all be that benevolent!

I will recommend this film to anyone who has a human heart!
