Does insider selling matter as much as insider buying?

Fools,

I'm not seeing much in the way of interesting insider buying right now so, today, I tried something new: a profile of stocks being sold by sellers who have excellent records of capital preservation. Would you like to see more of this column? Let me know what yout think.

Foolish best,

According to Peter Lynch, he stated in his best seller "One up on wall street" that insider selling has no value/predictive influence on future price. Maybe today's different? Have you found it to matter?

Hello GeneralDemon. No, I haven't found specific patterns. But I think it's curious when a seller with a track record of successful sales sells a stock. (Say that three times fast.)

Yes follow the buying. They know what will happen next. Bet your bottom dollar on that. Unles something totally major happens and breaks in the news and then all bets are off again. Yes to HD.

I dunno.  GAP and HERO have insider buying, especially GAP.  And that was at 17.  I bought at 14.  Look where I am today.  And it's a grocery store.  No place to hide.

I noticed heavy insider selling of FSLR over 300.  Too bad I covered my short there at a loss. My second worst trade.  Now I know why they sold.
