This is probably because I'm a bit of a masochist, but for some reason I decided to go back and reread this rebuttal to my rebuttal of a HuffPo article (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dan-solin/foolish-advice-from-the-m_b_795385.html)
I realized that I totally missed the following:
"He also provides no data from which his readers can hold him accountable for his prior stock picks."
Crud! That's exactly what CAPS is all about! In my final volley (http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2010/12/22/warren-buffett-isnt-a-stock-picker.aspx) I could have pointed to fact that my CAPS picks have, on average, beat the market by 5.5%.
But of course it probably wouldn't have helped my case because surely that outperformance has nothing to do with my focus on fundamentals and valuation in my picks -- it's all just monkey-dart-throwing luck, right? Right TMFBabo? TMFEldrehad? chk999? BravoBevo? It's all just random, no?
