I do not mind "the market" turning. I am doing "okay" on the "down stretches" (I will try to eliminate the "down days" of my score though (might be a new goal: 5) a monotonically increasing score curve over a few months). )

good grief david, how'd you score 1,000 points today? I'm only up 680 and I thought I had optimized my portfolio for a plunge.

This isn't working out today. You're tied to the bear market rally whether you like it or not. And the rally is in its dying gaspes.

Yes, I have to work on that ...

You're tied to the bear market rally whether you like it or not.

Why should that be so?

Well, I see you threw in some picks at the end of the day (green thumb SKF, red thumb FAS, etc.) Up until now, 95% of the picks I saw on your profile were green thumbs of high beta stocks. However, you can stop your slide by capitalizing off the upcoming plunge, which you began to do at the close.

I am not so sure about that "upcoming plunge". I have quite a few active "outperform" calls on biotech/pharma stocks now that might do well if "the market" plunges.
