By the way, the only thing that makes me a biotech "champion" is that score. I know far too little about the subject, I'm afraid.

so are you approaching "net short" territory?

not at all, and I probably won't ever go net short.  short with real money is a dangerous game.

I am partly hedged (covered calls), and I'm short calls on SPY.

My target of 1050-1100 for an exit draws near, we'll see if I fall into the same trap that bears always seem to fall into.  Pick a target level, but when you get there just wait too long and let all the winnings go bye bye.

The S&P is going to 1100 in 2009, thats my long standing belief.

I've got Number1CramerFan beat on Metals & Mining, it would appear:

+1,919 for All Metals & Mining picks, with 81% accuracy

Headed for +3,000 and 85% accuracy "when" gold and silver tank soon.

I didn't realize there were a few characters ahead of me in this category.  One of my secondary goals is to be the "top" gold & silver picker in the CAPS game.

foolsmethrice may provide me with real competition in this quest!

I wonder if anyone else has +1,000 and 87% accuracy on REITs like my current score???  Perhaps I can get that to +1,500 and 90% accuracy my year-end.  I am sure anyone staying short the REITs could have racked up a big score from 2007-early 2009.

With the sector database, it should be easy for CAPS to have a score breakdown and running rank list in each sector.  Do they have that yet?

They should add that as a new feature if they don't have it. If they have it I have wasted some time. oh well ...

What they do have is "Top Members in Tag" but that is more or less useless.

I was fortunate to milk 800+ points from the worthless stub known as PELE.PK. It almost feels fraudulent.
