January 25, 2012 – Comments (19) | RELATED TICKERS: MIEFF.DL , PAAS

You will see for yourselves over the coming days and weeks just what an incredible experience I had this week in Vancouver. I can't wait to share it all with you. Here is the first installment of many:

http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2012/01/25/fool-exclusive-interview-with-minefinders-ceo-mark.aspx

Enjoy!

I held feature-length interviews with Minefinders' Mark Bailey, Hecla CEO Phil Baker, Aurcana CEO Lenic Rodriguez, and Cardero Executive VP Keith Henderson. I also had a slew of amazing conversations with dozens of other industry executives of some of our favorite resource companies. I took in more information in those 2 days than I could ever hope to transmit, but that won't stop me from trying.

Stay tuned.

What's your opinion on GORO? My caps call is massively underwater, but it is outside of my circle of competence.

Very much looking forward to that as well, also, Sandstorm, I'm going to try and do a blog post on them this week, as well as another post on warrants, my portfolio was finished up 15 percent for 2011 and the only reason that is is because of a small wager I made on Franco Nevada warrants.

I just recently purchased some shares.

ubernut ,

To be crystal clear,  I own several  K shares  of YNG.   I am under water on all of them.

I am a buy and hold type of investor.  My goal is to get my original $ investment  back and then let the remaining shares “ride”. Take the profit and repeat.

The reasons I haven’t sold my YNG shares:

1)Insider buying:

http://canadianinsider.com/node/7?ticker=YNG

2) Deutsche Bank owns 10%.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/08/03/yukonnevada-idUSL3E7J328220110803

3)  http://sprott.com/

Sprott  Asset Management’s involvement in the company:

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2011/08/03/yukonnevada-idUKL3E7J328220110803?feedType=RSS&feedName=rbssFinancialServicesAndRealEstateNews

“About $26 million of the loan proceeds will be used to repay the senior secured notes issued to noteholders led by Sprott Asset Management LP in August 2010. Sprott owns 14.47 percent of Yukon-Nevada and is the second-largest shareholder of the company, according to Thomson Reuters data.”

(This may be less now, 1/29/12.)

I am not recommending anyone buy or sell the stock.

I am trying to contribute to The Community by providing relevant informational “Web Links” not investment "advice".

It’s  ubernut’s  fault.  :)

I was just replying to their post.    I hope I am not in jeopardy of being placed back on probation.
