Looks like Facebook is going public with its IPO next week-ish. Anyone actually plan on buying this flash-in-the-pan-gone-wild? I won't be shorting it in real life, but I plan to on CAPS. It's definitely lasted longer than myspace, and seems to have shut out G+ for now, but still... 100bil for a company that serves a few adds. Why not buy GOOG instead? Interested to see what happens...

There are simply too few "non-bears" among the "caps" game players. All those "dividends", "gold", "the crash is here", "I am a hobby economist", "I think I am as good as a 5 line script in achieving 90% 'accuracy'" freaks hate all the good stocks. Almost no "growth stock" or "risky stock" (baby biotech, for example) gets a decent "caps" game "star rating". Oh well, they have missed the first 3 years of the rally, they will miss the next 3 as well ...

I might buy a few shares in real life just so I can say I am an owner.

I'm definatly buying a few. As long as it's priced under $100. I don't want another fat stock like GOOG or AAPL.

I will most likely look at buying a bit.  I think that all the data collecting will be worth a bunch one day, and they are already very profitable.  I think their add business will keep growing and maybe even use their shares to buy out yahoo or something creative, we'll see...

Yes, facebook for me is a buy. I actually want to get my real stock account up and running within the next few days so I can buy some. Growth potential is huge. Untapped millions around the world have yet to join. Many apps remain to be made. We haven't even seen something like "Facebook Banking" yet. Zuckerberg is young and still has the salty, creamy taste of ambition frothing in his mouth. Buy.

@NYSEGOP

What does the price of the stock have to do with the value of the business???  Was BRK a horrible buy at 20,000/share?
