Note to self:  Who in their right mind thinks it's a good idea to own shares in a Soda Business while the population is AGING.  Milk of Magnesia ...yeah, but SODA POP???

Shares of soft drink companies are making solid gains and outperforming the broader market. However, PepsiCo (PEP 55.30, +2.17) is putting together a stronger performance than Coca-Cola (KO 49.77, +0.75) as analysts at UBS raise their target for shares of PEP.

Analysts at UBS also raised their target for shares of Pepsi Bottling (PBG 34.21, +1.00) as they expect PepsiCo's takeout offer for PBG to increase. However, just last week New York Post reported that merger talks between Pepsi Bottling and PepsiCo have gone flat.

Further note to self:  Oh right.  I forgot.  They always scramble for what's 'safe' the moment before disaster hits.  Markets are narrowing.  The bait ball is spinning tighter, clinging to the Maginot Line of investment ideas.  When the baby boomers were babies, soda and records were big business.  Now, they are either 'mature' like us, or already bankrupt.  A delicious investment prescription.
