First majestic Silver

December 20, 2010 – Comments (4) | RELATED TICKERS: AG , FRMSF.PK.DL

I just have lerned that First Majestic Silver can be found as a pink slip holding company through FRMSF.PK or on the NYSE as AG...WTF?  How can taht be possible?  If a company is listed on the NYSE, it has to follow specific financial filings that a pink slip company does not, so what is the difference between these two listings other than the obvious?  Whats the benefits here?

AG is the one and only ticker symbol for First Majestic Silver.

So why is there a FRMSF.PK that also calls themselves First Majestic Silver?  I am not questioning your answer, just very confused.

I know this won't solve the puzzle, but I do know that the company used to be on pink sheets and then moved to NYSE.

Thanks for that info. I did some reserach from the companies website and see that they  were authorized to be listed on the NYSE effective Dec 15th, 2010, which explains my confusion.

So now the question is, how long will the FRMSF.PK be traded now that First majestic is officially AG on the on the NYSE? Shares of FRMSF.PK have had quite a rise in the past 6 months.
