Full blogs access is also broken so my "notify" efforts don't help. Mozilla Firefox works iinstalls quickly from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/   IE can be left as default browser.  IE9 works for Windows 7, not an XP option.  EOM

Yeah when I use IE I keep getting thrown to "page error."  Using Firefox I have no problems.

Thanks for the confirmation awallejr.

I don't "by far", consider this a permanent work around. I have my reasons for IE while others have their reasons for Firefox.  IE 9 apparently also works if you have Windows 7 and don't mind being a guinea pig for a new browser.

But I thought I'd toss it out for those who are down hard with no information on why.

fool.com is broken for me on IE8 as well.  I assume TMF has realized the problem with their website by now? It is pretty annoying that they never put up a banner to inform people when their website is not working. (This is not the first time.)

Chrome works, also Android phone browser.

TMF has been aware since early yesterday, per my other blog.

I tossed this additional blog up when I realized that if you are blocked out by the bug that you can't open the blogs either, but you can "see" the first few sentences. If someone was reading the "blog" snippets they would have the work around option.

Again, the work around option is not something I will personally accept "long term", but I trust the tech staff is working this difficult issue. IE8 is probably at least 50% of users.

on IE8, when you get to the error page, hit the back button, then hit the cancel button(red X), you will end up on the page you were wanting.

@ #6)  I was doing that but would still get kicked to the error screen after a few seconds.  + Having to mess around with back button and cancel to view anything = too much work/sucky website.

PS, by posting the "shorter" blog for people stuck with only the first two sentences of a blog, my more detailed blog doesn't get "shown".  (One blog per day).

It seems to be fixed now but I have been unable to use CAPS for the past 2 days!  Very frustrating.

Apparently a strange problem.

Statistics indicate that 49% of users use Internet Explorer, and of those, 44% use IE8, so about 20% of users affected.....

Those with the problem could not use the contact us button, or read blogs.  I spent about an hour trying to debug my own computer before Richard at MF realized it was only IE8.  He was initially using Firefox so we thought the issue was isolated to me.

Sorry for the inconvienence Fools. I believe the fix was released around 3:30 this afternoon. It was a particularly knotty problem to unravel.
