The American people are waking up...being an inept, corrupt politician might replace Timber cutter as worlds most dangerous job.
Crowd Explodes When Arlen Specter Urges That We "Do This Fast"
How many times does a person have to shout the same question before an onlooker knows he really doesn't want an answer?
This quote may say it best;
If you don't let the guy answer your questions and you intentionally manipulate negatively every phrase that he does manage to get out of his mouth between your yip yapping, then I would say it would be hard to find a more biased interview.
...should have walked out on him, or punched him in the face...well probably not a good political move to punch him (but he probably wanted to)...either way saying something like "will you please shut up and let me answer?" followed by..."no? alright then I have no reason to be here..." and walking out. That might have gotten national attention.... Daretothredux
These are, IMO, less examples of true populist angst and more of carefully orchestrated rudeness that precludes any chance for a reasonable debate. I mean c'mon - do you really think that painting devil horns on a picture of the speaker advances any reasonable debate? And intimating that politicians who dare to conduct townhalls on the issue are somehow in physical danger "second only to timber cutter") is particularly troublesome to me.
The tempertaure really needs to be turned down here, and the Glenn Beck/Rush Limbaugh faction really needs to be supplanted by reasoned and intelligent debate, IMO.
Hmmm....off on a tangent I know but.......isn't alaskan kingcrab fisherman the most dangerous job?
Thanks! I actually agree with you and TMFSpeck completely. The Beck/Limbaugh faction does nothing to advance the cause of liberty or "conservatism." I would prefer intelligent debate any day. That goes for interviewing Peter Shiff or President Obama.
TMFSpeck and Devoish: Have you actually listened to Rush or Beck from start to finish .. or are you basing your opinion solely on snippets of things they've said taken out of context?
Rush makes brilliant obersavations on a daily basis .. but a lot of what he says is for entertainment value .. but he's still very talented .. thus, his large following.
Beck .. can wear his heart on his sleeve .. but I know his heart's in the right place .. he loves America and wants to preserve what has made this country like no other in the world.
I would highly recommend tuning into either to get their views from time to time .. the first hour of the show(s) is usually the most informative .. Same w/ Michael Savage. I guarantee .. if you're not a regular listener, you'll be surprised!
Yes I have. I used to believe what Rush told me. I no longer do.
