Foolish musings - 8/1
On my mind today:
Cloud computing. Interesting response so far to this article. Most of you appear to be convinced that developers will continue reaching for the clouds. Interestingly, I find good news for Microsoft in this. Much as I think "software plus services" is moronic, Ballmer is smart to put as much Office-style content online as he can. (Google certainly will.)
Vista. Who knew the facts would cause such an uproar? I don't care if Vista is good or not, or what emotions it conjures. What I know is that CIOs aren't adopting it, which can't be good.
AT&T and iPhone. I think AT&T is the biggest impediment to the iPhone's success. Yes, I know, it has the nation's largest cellular network. And for some it works great, but when I share tales of my own zero-bar existence, I get waaaaaaay too many nodding heads. Buy your way out of the exclusive deal with AT&T, Apple. You'll sell more iPhones.
