The September Slasher just keeps slashing and slashing as fewer and fewer are hiring....

WAUKEGAN — City officials confirmed that 38 part-time and 10 full-time city workers were to be given layoff notices today.

Officials said the current deficit stands at about $6.3 million, more than twice the amount cited in estimates earlier this year.

At this rate...with almost every city, county, parish, town and state laying off workers....and few hiring.....pretty soon there will not be many customers left in America to buy anything.

Mary...don't fret....it is not the end of the world....simply the end of the world as you know it.  When America goes to war...we and our children all go to war......When America is broke....we are all broke.

If we are rebounding or less bad as many believe, it's not showing up in the movement of goods. We can ramp up manufacturing, but is anyone buying? The numbers for the 4th quarter are not looking good.

The Imports, Exports, interstate and intrastate movement of goods is deterioating across the board. Yes were only 1 month in with 2 to go, but were off to a terrible start. This has been a trend since 2006. The freight tonnage index has been down trending since that time and there is still no improvement.

The consumer is not buying as before and I've heard they comprise about 65% of GDP now and falling. It's believed Exports will take up the slack there with a weaker dollar, but it's not showing up in the shipping volumes yet. So if this senario plays out as forecast, there will be a considerable lag in GDP while were waiting for Exports to ramp up.

ANYBODY GOT CHICKENS????????????????

HARARE, Zimbabwe (CNN) -- Zimbabwe's education system is beginning to battle back from years of neglect and an exodus of teachers.

From a distance the Mathabisana school looks to be in an OK condition. But many parents still find it impossible to pay the U.S. $24 a year fees and some resort to using chickens as payment.

When your economy collapses, and your money is worthless, you better have chickens.

MOAFP just around the corner now Alstry.  2 trading days left!  Are you prepared to RELAX in 10.09?  Really your MOAFP is already here, but I'm giving it the full duration of the month just to see, you never know when the global economy is going to melt down in the course of 2 days, right?
