MINNEAPOLIS, June 8 (UPI) -- A Minneapolis man said he was preparing to leave his foreclosed home for the last time when contractors boarded up the house with him still inside.

Ted Poetsch, 53, said he was finishing packing and loading his cat into its carrier May 12 when he heard drilling coming from the frame of his front door, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Monday.

Poetsch, who walks with a cane, said he descended the home's stairs to find the contractors had already completed boarding up the house without making sure there was nobody inside

Courteousy of the real fine folks at UPI

On the upside, if he's trapped in his foreclosed house, he'll soon drop off the unemployment rolls! Happy days are here again!

Apparently  In Japan they are doing well. Again form the fine folks at UPI

MOTOSU, Japan, June 8 (UPI) -- Police in Motosu, Japan, are trying to determine how an estimated 4 million yen in cash came to be dumped at a local waste disposal site.

Police said a worker at Sankyo Kosan Corp. found a wad of 10,000-yen bank notes after seeing bills falling from concrete chunks while running a conveyor belt at the plant Saturday morning, The Mainichi Daily News reported Monday.

About 300 notes were found whole and about 400 more were torn. The total value was estimated at 4 million yen, or about $40,500.

Investigators were trying to find out who the bills belong to and how they ended up at the disposal site, the newspaper said.
