The U.S. Transportation Secretary, appointed by President Barack Hussein Obama, wants to ban all forms of communication while driving.  No hands free cell phones.... No ONSTAR service....

And....  For you FORD BULLS out there (myself included)....  He wants to make it illegal to have and use FORD SYNCH.

The ever spreading will of the Federal Government to restrict the Personal Freedoms that we USED to enjoy here in America is ever growing under President Barack Obama. 

It makes sense.... Democratic Liberals despise, hate, themselves and everyone else....  They live in a world of Guilt Tripping Misery... and because they are such miserable people they spend their lives attempting to gain the political power to make your life a MISERABLE LIVING CESSPOOL.

Do you love your ONSTAR???  Do you Love your Hands Free Cell Phone????  Do you love Ford SYNCH??? 

Well TOUGH!!!!!!!   Ray LaHood wants to kill it.

Numerous studies have shown that hands free cell phones are no safer than hand held phones in terms of interfering with drivers.

You want to use your on star or cell phone - pull over onto the shoulder.  When you are driving, focus on driving.

Think of it as restoring your 1980 driving freedoms - you will still be able to everything you could do then.

Cause frankly I am sick of you people making it illegal to DRINK a PEPSI while driving.  Seriously.... Michigan has made it possible now for COPS to pull some one over and FINE them for drinking a PEPSI , Dr. Pepper, or etc. while driving.

(Then I'd suggest you'd work on what it does. Acting as a hands-free phone is only part of Sync. Even without that it would be the best GPS nav and MP3/music management in the business.)

I've ridden street motorcycles since the mid 80's and there was a seismic shift in driver inattention as cell phones became popular. There have been countless studies that prove it's impossible to multitask. At any given second you're paying attention to your conversation or what's happening as you're driving, but never both. And there have been an equally large amount of studies that show talking on the phone (hands free or not) puts you at a much higher risk for causing an injury crash.

There is no constitutional right to endanger others because you want to yak on the phone while you're driving. If it's an emergency call - pull over. If it's not an emergency, it can wait. And contrary to the way you may feel after the last decade, it's not the role of government to protect business at the expense of citizens. I've been hit by a distracted driver, and I've had friends killed because someone thought a stupid phone call was more important than paying attention to their driving. This kind of infantile selfishness makes me sick.
