When a problem comes along

You must FRIP it

Before the cream sets out too long

You must FRIP it

When something's goin' wrong

You must FRIP it

Greetings my fellow Fools, today I would like to discuss a new investment tool that I've been digging on. Scottrades Flexible Reinvestment Program. Simply put, it allows the investor to pool all of their dividends and deploy them into new stocks, or existing holdings. I believe this gives the small time investor the power to create a portfolio as strong and flexible as Hercules and Gumby combined.

Now FRIP it

Into shape

Shape it up

Get straight

Go forward

Move ahead

Try to detect it

It's not too late

To FRIP it

FRIP it good

This also jives well with my long term view of dollar cost averging in both good times and bad. Mr Market taught me long ago that the minute you think you know what the hell is going on.....(analogy edited).....

Besides my magic 8-ball has been on the fritz for what seems like ever.

When a good time turns around

You must FRIP it

You will never live it down

Unless you FRIP it

No one gets away

Until they FRIP it

Did I mention that there are no comissions? Thats right sports fans. Nada, zilch, zero, the same number of people who watched the Honeymooners remake. I'm enrolled in a few DRIP's and even though the fees are nominal, it still ticks me off. As shareholders were part owners of the corporations we invest in. So to be nickel and dimed to reinvest dividends just seems wrong.

I say FRIP it

FRIP it good

I say FRIP it

FRIP it good

As you might have guessed, I'm a fan of dividend investing. Just looking to build this monster of compound interest, which will no doubt lead to world domination (muhahahaha!) Or to just keep me from having ramen noodles as a staple in my old age.

Crack that whip

Give the past a slip

Step on a crack

Break your momma's back

Welp, that's all boys and girls. I hope my little blog here will entice some of you to look into DRIP'n and FRIP'n

Or at the very least I hope I succeeded in embedding that song into your skull for the forseeable future.

Cheers.

p.s (I'm not able to comment, it seems caps has more bugs than Lady Ga Ga's meat undies, but I still love this place:)

You are the third person to say they can't comment. I don't know why I can and you can't.  As for reinvesting dividends I am not crazy about drips since I prefer to pool my monthly income and re-deploy it myself.  I guess I am a FRIPer.

Yeah man, if your FRIP'n with no commisions. I like Drip's for blue chip stocks. I know I want a boatload of KO, and that's an easy way for me to get it.
