FTK has been rallying like its former self back in 2006-2007. The company keeps staying quiet on why its stock is rallying, but wall street guys are no dumbies. They know its the Fracking Fluid that is the cause.

Drilling supplier Flotek Industries Inc. told analysts last month that it has completed successful field trials of a new batch of biodegradable fracturing chemicals using compounds extracted from citrus products. Calls to Houston-based Flotek for comment weren't returned.

CSTR has come down from $67 in mid Nov. 2010 to $41.85 with most of the damage done a few days ago on 19 Million volume. Well as the saying goes, what goes up must come down, so too what comes down will go up. We currently have a situation with CSTR where a Beach Ball has been submerged in water and is under havey pressure. Any kind of news even mildly bad would be considered a basis to cover or go long.

Oh forgot to mention, The reason why this Biodegradable Fracturing chemical is important is because the non-Biodegradable chemicals of the past were poisoning the drinking water during fracturing operations for Gas & Oil operations.

The new fluid is considered Earth Friendly.

WRONG! It peaked around 50 a share as far as i can tell from the charts in october of 2007.

Ftk has not been above 7 all of 2010 much less 67.I don't know what you are trying to pull here on the fool but sounds like a pump and dump to me.

You need to be careful on these sites regardless because that kind of talk can fool people into investing money when they shouldnt and visa versa.

Just a word to the wise check your sources first. Like they say only fools rush in......and happy trading.

The fracking chemicals/process has certainly a big potential for FTK, but, alone, this would not have contributed to much of its recent price move.  It's no accident that the start of its price rise was also coincident with reports (and rumors of reports) of its first profitable quarter in two years.  If they are to report the successive quarter as also profitable (showing some credibility to a belief that they have risen from the financial desparation that had led to their fall), I believe that the price rise will continue.        But, as the previous commentor suggested, do the homework.   One might start with FTK's website at flotekind.com and read the 3rd Quater Results
