Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill

Back in June of 2008, I did a restaurant review. And a CAPS player named GreenMycon mentioned another restaurant in the same space that I should try out. I finally got a round-tuit and gave it a whirl.
The restaurant is Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill and is a small privately owned chain. I got the "a little bit of everything" plate to give them a try. The food was fresh, attractively arranged and the service very nice.
The problem is that the taste was kinda meh. I like a lot of the stuff they serve a whole bunch, but everything they had I can get better someplace else. Instead of the intense flavor explosion I was expecting, I got just slightly insipid stuff. Nothing was wrong, but I have no urge to go back there today for lunch, unlike my normal reaction when I hit something amazing. I suspect that the spicing has been de-tuned to appeal to a broader taste. This may work, but I was not entranced like I am by the hole-in-wall Felafel place over by the student area of town.
So this goes into the pile as a perfectly nice place to eat, but not one to be sought out. Since I'm not in love with the food, I'm not in love with investing when it IPOs.
