POSCO's earnings, as usual, offer plenty of insight into the state of the global steel industry, a pulse on the Chinese and pan-Asian economies overall, and the best hints about sustainable demand for related commodities throughout the region.

In this case, I find that POSCO's outlook confirms my hypothesis regarding a continuing process of greater Asia decoupling from Europe and North American economies. Fools are unlikely to agree on where in that process we may be, but evidence that the process is in motion has mounted considerably.
