Getting ready to work on the investment section of my website.

June 18, 2011 – Comments (7)

I am looking for ideas for what type of data that you would like to see in an investment portal.

I do plan on segmenting it into focused sections. ie.. a section for forex, a section for options, a section for Nasdaq, ect...

I'm trying to work out if individual wiki pages for each stock are possible.

Try to give me an idea of your perfect investment portal.

What do the main pages look like?

What do the sub pages look like?

What tools would you like the site to have?

What do you see missing from other investment sites?

Let me know what you want and I'll try to put it on the site.

Hey Chris,

Am looking forward to your site.  Don't have much constructive suggestions right now; financial & technical analyses are obviously always relevent, but personally I always like to check insider trading & quality of management myself.  I guess some kind of rating scale for management would be something I haven't really seen per se.  I think most of us would like to see that.

Thanks for your good info in the past!

I agree with traderbach. Insider buying is always of interest to me as well as the strength of management.

I really like the look of TMF site. Copy that :)

LOL, well I wouldn't think that they would be too happy about that. I think there is plenty of room to find my own niche.

I will see if I can get some reliable insider trading info on the site though.

Don't forget precious metals. Get Chris Barker (TMFSinchiruna/silverminer) on board, if you can. Investigate how you might be able to better organize his collected wisdom, at least better than TMF does. Then go for composite wisdom.

LOL, You think I'd forget about precious metals?

I don't want to cause conflicts with Chris' day job, but I will definitely ask him for some input on what the page should look like.

On a side note, I'm using APMEX as a sponsor. They seem to have flash sales every now and then where coin and bullion prices are barely over spot. Would anybody else be interested in these sales?

Also any official TMF personnell, would posting about these sales be frowned upon if I posted about them here? I don't want to conflict with other sponsors that you have.
