GMX rolling out two new profiles

One of all green thumbs to disprove my critics who say I can't pick winners. (tentative title GMXroses&rainbows.

One of all red thumbs (no .obs or .pks) to showcase my ability to find bankrupt companies (tentative title GMXbulldestroyer)

I feel I've become (largely due to the critics) too drawn to the macro picture. I want to go back to writing pitch after pitch about the world's best companies such as JAG and WNR while tirelessly assaulting scams such as Repros (down 50% since my investigative report this winter.)

Good idea.

I like this new direction GMX. You are right, no need for the day after day reminder of the coming apocolypse in the macro picture.

That's the way to go.  I think getting too caught up in the macro picture tends to distract people from seeing the underlying fundamentals behind companies.

I'm very pessimistic on the long-term economic health of the US, but I've been mostly bullish on the market for awhile mostly on the basis that something approaching an apocalypse has already been priced in.  But I've limited my buys to certain sectors, too --- particularly hard asset companies that will have extra protection against inflation.

Good luck on the new profiles --- especially FuzzyKittens!

GMXreaper would sound like an Everyday knockoff. I'm considering apocalyptic themes... armageddon might do it.

well now that gmxmkttiming is "living in oblivion" it might be time for new attempts. I hope they will not end with statistics similar to those of your player goldminingxpert (see comment #52 here) ...

The player gmxfuzzykittens might do well if the S&P 500 index (the benchmark) goes down. 3 of the first 13 picks (SHY,BWP,BSV) are ultra low beta ones (i.e. don't move very much). ED is also low beta.

Hey buddy, I created the new profiles to satisfy critics like you. They aren't created to game the system as my flagship profile has done.

Was that so hard to say?

I am talking about the absolute value of the beta here.
