That's right - I'm talking about Olympic Gold Medals!  I can't believe that someone has not already blogged about the US athletes taking gold medals in 3 events yesterday.  Let's see some patriotism folks!

Shaun White, Shani Davis and Lindsey Vonn turned Wednesday golden for Americans in Vancouver.

If you are pleased as I am that Lindsey Vonn, Shaun White, and Shani Davis all took home gold medals in the downhill, snowboard half-pipe, and speed skating events, then make your comments here.

If you don't care, then go back to your gloom and doom predictions about how the US ecconomy is headed downhill.  I for one am proud to be an American and happy for our youth who show great promise for the future of this country, the good ole' USofA!!

Enigma, absolutely man! Did you see Vonn's run! Holy cow, man she was aggressive and on a sprained shin too! (And Julia Mancuso, the Silver Medalist, was no slouch either!)

Yeah, Shani Davis was very smooth on the ice last night. And Shaun White, pulling that new trick on his final move on his victory run. That was awesome!!

It was a thrilling night for sure. Vonn's run was even more incredible after the 2 competitors right before her (and the one right after her) crashed on the course, which was solid ice. And Shaun just keeps setting a new standard for "cool" every time he competes.  Good stuff!

Millions of people sitting on the couch, watching TV, eating potato chips, and cheering for people who are in the olympics because they don't sit on the couch, watch TV, or eat potato chips.

#3 I'm fairly certain Shan White eats potato chips, and probably a lot of other "junk food" as well... he probably just has a metabolism like a T-Rex.

Both Vonn and Davis started their runs actually behind in time, which made their wins that much more exciting.  Shaun pulled off the gold medal on his first run -  which was just absolutely beautiful -  then he treated us to his latest trick on the last set-up of his second run - completely amazing!  My most intense moment was listening to Shaun talk about NOT doing the second run when he found out his first run had done it.  True to champion form though, he went ahead and treated us to his latest aerial lunacy.  It was great to see all of them win!
