As a customer of (AMZN), I am totally impressed by their targeted advertising.

Amazon targets its users based on what they buy and what they read while online at the website. Then they ping them.  It’s amazing (pun intended) to me that  such a simple algorithm could be so successful.

I usually avoid ads, but not these. If a company emails me stuff that does not intrigue, it quickly gets sent to the junk file. I usually find the targeted ads from AMZN interesting enough to read.

I have recently discovered the AMZN cloud. Based on a good experience there, I am sure I will become a fan.

I am also a customer of Costco (COST) and have been for nearly 10 years.

I have bought high end stuff from AMZN and COST from all over the lot. From camera lenses, iPods, music, (and, yes, books). They do not disappoint.

I know that many of y’all live and die by the numbers, but I think that there is a good reason for the high multiple, and I’m going long.
