Those bullion banks and the SEC are usually hand-in-hand in corruption.  Something has happened internally to break that bond. Perhaps someone is attempting to cut off one of the heads of the multi-headed beast that is wall street, in order to save itself?  This will be interesting to watch...

This is a buying chance on stocks that fell on this news that have nothing to do with GS type work.

For example :

Retailers

Oil & GAS

Solar

Umm .. a little late, no?  And how is this supposed to help me ... or anyone down on our rung of the ladder (our rung(s) being anyone below the upper crust!)?

Ties to Paulson & Co. .... Paulson ... Hmm .. that name rings a bell ... why does that name sound so familiar?

Now, how many fat cats with connections in the right places made big short bets against GS and the market earlier this week?  The whole game is fixed with us just trying to scratch and claw a meager win here and there while the upper crust just creates their own rigged game to take our wealth away ....

 Grumble ... Grumble .. Grumble ...
