(Sigh of relief)
However, if the NSA calls, I'll tell them "I'm holding out for something better."

Good job! Congratulations!
Thats good news Indeed David... Congrats and lots of luck In your endeavors.... TS
Nice 'Good Will Hunting' reference.
Congratulations. Looks complicated.
If the NSA calls, it won't be to make you an offer! :p
Thanks everyone! Had to party it up a little bit (with a glass of Chivas and then I passed out from exhaustion... long day.)
I studied for that exam for a year so it was nice that it finally paid off.
Again thanks everyone. I had to share that with my friends, and well there's about 70+ people on this site that I've known long enough now to consider friends. Quite an amazing community has developed here, right?
Congradulations. Information security is the way to go.
If you ever need help on the physical side let me know. My company specializes in "secure communications infrastructure services" :P
Very good. I hope your certification helps you in your life.
Quick story. A few years ago there was a big push to have all Project Managers certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) which gives one 3 letters after their name, PMP - or a Project Management Professional. I happened to sign up for the certification class, which was taught by none other than the author of the book on Project Management Harold Kerzner himself. He wrote the book. He wrote the PMI exam questions (hint: the answer is almost always "check the WBS"). At lunch with my boss and Mr. Kerzner (who I might add is both smart and quite personable) admitted that he himslef was not certified.
I finished the class, cancelled my exam date, and enjoyed the weekend.
My boss quit.
So ... to this day, I'm still just a clerk.

LMFAO. That is a great story. My boss is actually studying for PMP right now and I will have to share that with him. He's also pushing me towards ITIL or PMP, which I don't want to do (CISSP was bad enough) but I have CCIE in my sights and want to stay somewhat techie for a few more years at least :)
Way to go!
All these acronyms are making my brain hurt. I can't imagine what the test would do to me! LOL
Cheers for all of the studying and hard work you put in for the exam David. I'm happy for you, with hope that this will launch the next chapter (or at least a menagerie of anecdotes) for you. Hoorah!
That is great news!
Congratulations! Sorry I didn't congratulate you earlier, but I was on a selfish quest to discover whether or not I was going to lose all my money, and I didn't want to be distracted by your life. My ridiculously overleveraged position has come back to safe levels now, so:
Congratulations! I hope this changes your life for the better.
Good job! Congrats! Now you need to come to Dubai to properly celebrate! :)
