Pick Requirements

All picks must be outperforms in the Home Builder, Financial Services or Investment Banking Services Tags.

How Many Picks?
You need 1 pick to be active in the contest, and you can have up to 8. Only outperform picks are allowed. Picks cannot be ended, though, so choose wisely.

Time Frame
This contest will run from November 10, 2008 to December 30, 2008, and the winner will be decided on December 31.

Prize
If there are fewer than 500 players in the Good Riddance 2008 contest when it closes, the winner will receive one free year of Motley Fool Stock Advisor. If there are more than 500 players, the winner will get a check equal to the number of players (up to $2,000).

If more than 500 players enter this contest, the next contest will have a prize of $750, but if fewer than 500 players enter, the next contest will have a $250 purse.

dude, the home builder tag isn't inclusive enough.  You need the residential construction tag.  financial services tag has only 33 stocks and ibank tag only 9 stocks.  that's only like 50 stocks total and there are way more home builders and banks out there.

Now would be a good time to make the tagging system interactive so that it's actually useful. There are hundreds - possibly thousands - of financial services companies that don't fall under the tag.

Given the categories selected, I doubt there are eight stocks worth an outperform rating in the bunch of 55. At least 4 of the 33 stocks in Financial Services aren't even rateable.

AniruS - JPM is in Financial Services on page 2. 

Might be fun.  Could be the only contest in TMF history that gets won with a negative score.
