Belgian citizens celebrate 249 days without a government.
I imagine that local governments in Belgium are functioning as usual so that Belgium isn't experiencing anarchy just no federal government. Perhaps they should go back to guilds.
I think the delicious waffles and fries do a lot to keeping citizens happy :)

The article has a quote from a caretaker Prime Minister, so even if there's no formal gov't, there is some kind of structure.
What I found most interesting was the report that both the Dutch-speaking and French-speaking groups were celebrating. Politicians often say they want government to bring people together, but - at least in this instance - lack of a government is what's doing the job.
