This is going to sound greedy, but I wish I'd listened to TMFSinchiruna when he first mentioned this stock when it was under $0.90 instead of waiting until it hit $1.21.

But what are you gonna do...

Funny how we all seem so solemn on a stock that has earned us all more than 100%...

In the grand scheme of things we each deserve a pat on the back for this one....Congrats fellas...

I wish I did own it. Today I checked in occasionally and kept seeing it go up. It was like watching Discovery go up for an encore.  I'm hoping for the mysterious PM March dip so maybe, just maybe, I can buy in a price lower than todays.

I do own SLW. It went up 4-5% today so that was good.

Also, I don't think we should be "giving ourselves a pat on the back" unless we actually did the DD on it.  I think we should be patting Sinchi's private parts.

I have to admit that I know zero about the technicals and history of GPL. All that I do know is Sinchy picked this one months ago. Not only is he a decent, good fellow but one heck of a PM player. My hat is off to him. He routinly gives of himself to the community without receiving anything material in return. Thank you, Chris.

Yesterday I said I may wait for a little bit with hopes the price will come down. At this point I dont know when or if that will occur. Will it go up another 100% by the end of the month? Will it drop 50% next week as speculators cash out? Will it plateau after today and not budge until July? My Magic 8 Ball refuses to help.

With that kind of uncertainty in mind I may choose to add to my existing holdings of NXG and GRS. Maybe Mr. Market will fall in lust with them before long.

All the best,

Cato

I'm with you, THFSinchiruna deserves all the credit on this one.  Same with Copper Fox.  I'm kicking myself for not jumping on the Silver Wheaton bandwagon when he was touting that one.

He finds mining stocks and has them well analyzed long before the majority of us have even heard of them.

MWfM is right in comment #5, with so many under-followed entities in the micro-cap junior space, the race is on to identify the next big runaway stocks. I have a few ideas, a couple of which I've hinted at with sparse mentions around here in recent weeks, and I have a couple more that I'll be discussing in greater detail over the next couple of weeks.

I may even have a very pleasant surprise for all of you with respect to a couple of these companies. Stay tuned.

Who can guess the three companies I've mentioned as compelling micro-caps in recent weeks?

Oh ... I see the confusion. You may not get many updates on bid/ask with these tiny micro-caps. These are thinly traded on the pink sheets to be sure ... I see that as a good thing (word hasn't gotten out yet). I don't concern myself with the bid/ask on these. I just enter a limit buy order at the last-quoted price, or I check the Canadian equity at tmxmoney.com for a better sense of price in $CDN, and convert to USD.

I don't think the trend of silver outperforming gold is over, and most of the big movers have been either silver miners or those who have significant silver resources...

I'm sticking with aurcana as the next GPL/EXK type mover...

Valyooo,

Without a doubt Sinch has been extremely helpful with regards to investing in this space. He finds a group of solid prospects and does great analyses on them. His analyses have served as a wonderful start point for me, but not much more. He mentions a slew of good miners, I look at most if not all of them, and see which ones specifically fit my investment appetite...He may mention 50 good prospects, over a period of a few months or so, and I try to pick the best five for my own portfolio. In this respect I have done very well. I do a lot of my own DD, and do not rely solely on any one person to make my investment decisions.

For almost a year now I have thanked and applauded Sinch for his great research and how helpful he has been to me...But this does not mean I should not be proud of myself and the great performance I have had so far...

Spot on! I repeat from above:

Congratulations to you all for having the courage to invest in silver when the establishment was predominantly laughing at precious metals all the way up. You all deserve a huge round of kudos!

My long-term goal here at the Fool is not to grow a community that follows my picks like lemmings ... quite to the contrary, I aim to build and foster this community's collective capacity to research and evaluate pm stocks (and stocks of all kinds) with the same sort of independent thinking that brought all of us to pms in the first place.

In fact, it is my ultimate goal that by the time I decide to move on from here and pursue another path, this CAPS community will have become renowned for its collective expertise and realized gains on the most successful stock sector of the past and present decade.

MWM, let me be the first to wholeheartedly applaud your exemplary investment performance, and to recognize that your personal portfolio is solely and completely a creation all your own. You have ample cause to celebrate your achievement! You all do!

Impact Silver, as I mentioned, is in huge break-out mode right now.

ECU Silver has been a major disappointment for me. [I'm actually in the red from my 2006 purchase, if you can believe it.] But I've held the shares with dogged determination. :)  Checkout the 10-year chart.

Chris,

I never feel I'm being sold on the idea of buying a miner for which you feel enthusiasm. You always welcome questions and debate over your ideas. I find that to be refreshing.

Thank you for chosing my blog to open up your bag of micro-cap miners. I've had fun researching them. I have to admit that I think after doing some digging (ha-ha) into GPL that buying at this moment may be a mistake. I know that silver has a ton of upside, will most likely take GPL higher with it. With that being said the trajectory at which GPL has climbed since leaving its pink status has been startling. Anything that climbs that high that fast must encounter resistance in the form of profit taking or gravity. I think like Julius Caeser the GPL holder must beware the Ides of March. I don't think it will be stabbed by a gang of senators, but will drop. For those with dry power it may present a good entry point or an opportunity to add to your holdings.

But what the heck do I know?! I am merely a Dr. Watson to your Mr. Sherlock Holmes.

Elementary Yours,

Cato
