Hey party people,

I hope you are well this holiday season.

Playing CAPS this past year has been very beneficial one for me financially and personally. I've very grateful to have been able to partake in this community. The knowledge I've gained since playing here has literally been instrumental in helping me and my family avoid big losses this year in our portfolios. The players I've met here, have really been a fun, intelligent and giving group of people to interact with and I'm better off from doing so.

Considering the upcoming holiday I'd like to take the time to thank some of the CAPS players who have helped/taught/inspired/entertained me this past year, A year in which I badly needed all those things.I've had to deal with a great deal of personal adversity this year that I don't wish to get into (including having my store nearly ruined by a runaway car) so I hope you forgive me if I get a bit sappy.

First off thanks to TMFBreakerDave  and TMFTomG for giving us this forum. Without you guys It's safe to say none of this would exist. Thanks for creating the Fool and CAPS!

Thanks to TMFTwitty, TMFCharris, TMFJake,  TMFMoby  and the rest of the fool staff for the hardwork they do in CAPS and elsewhere. You guys are very responsive to our needs and do a great job.

Thanks to Madcowmonkey who was the first player I really interacted with and really embodies the bets of the Fool spirit imho. He's a fun, helpful and smart guy. Chances are I wouldn't be nearly as active, interested member of the community if it weren't for him. And if that were the case I probably would have quit CAPS and lost my shirt in the market this year. Thanks Madcow.

Thanks to StockSpreadsheet for the help and thoughts he willingly gives out with care to players (including me) of all skill levels .He's been a great source of knowledge for me. As a self taught guy,it's critical to have people to talk to and learn from and StockSpreadsheet has been instrumental in improving my critical thinking skills when it comes to investing.Thanks Craig.

Thanks to EverydayInvestor  aka "Reaper" , for all his great analytical work especially his trailblazing research on OTC companies. His open mined skeptical methodical approach is one we all should emulate. His blog at www.goodevalue.com is a must read for value investors and short sellers. It's been a pleasure interacting with you and learning from you Reaper. I'll be glad to say I knew you when, before you get big.

Thanks to Dwot and Camistocks for the universal kind spirit they show, I really appreciate the kind wishes and help you offered to me when I was stuck in my auction rate securities. Dwot's legendary Goldcorp analysis helped convince me to take my profits long before they would have vanished. That writeup saved me and my old man 5-6 thousand dollars easily.

Thanks to TDRH for being a humble slef effacing guy and  thus providing great inspiration to the rest of us in that you can be a nice guy and be a great analyst.

Thanks to Abitarecatania/Aresfinancial/Abitare/Abitareperfect    , The name may change but the message and the person always remains the same. The message may not be one people want to hear but it's needed and I think it shows you really care about helping people and the truth.There are lots of people giving advice out there on stocks and almost zero accountability/fact checking. It's very useful to have someone around who can call shenanigans when he sees it.

Thanks TheGarcipian, DemonDoug, Goldminingxpert , and the player who shall remain nameless as he has left CAPS  (and I think he wishes to be invisible)  for making gutsy/entertaining calls/blogs, original research and discussing them. All these guys do their own work and are players you should pay heed to, unless it's the guy who has left. Because he's gone which makes it hard to pay heed to him. But while he was here you should have and hopefully did because you can't now. Yeah... ok, moving on then!

and to the rest of the CAPS community (really there are too many people to thank all at once, Pencils2, TMFEldrehad, TMFBent, GS751,GTRinvestor, Wax , D1david , VTEngineer2001, Kahunacfa   and many others, please forgive me if I accidentally omitted your name) ! I think we often take it for granted how civil and useful the interactions are here, that's a really a pretty impressive achievement when you look at most internet sites. That says quite a lot about the people we have here, especially in the blogging community.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and thanks again CAPS community for all you've done for me this past year!
