Fellow Fools,

I am looking for honest, unfiltered opinions about a book by Robert Kiyosaki: Rich Dad's Rich Dad's Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money. I've read some reviews here and there but want a Fool's opinion. The book sounds interesting. I want more information in order to determine if I should add it to my list of books to buy.

I appreciate your assistance. If you have any other books to recommend please speak up.

take a look at these 2 posts, they may help.  It seems that people ask this sort of question alot and these posts were an attempt to make the dissemination of such info more efficient.  They dont mention this book specificaly but they do talk about Rich dad in general. And books by other leading fincl gurus.

chk999 - Haha!  Couldn't agree more.  I am getting a Blitzkrieg of his **** on FB.  Anyone who pals around with Trump is beyond laughable.  Whatever legit information he has is not worth mucking through the self-aggrandizing BS.

BeHappyNOW,

Thank you for the links. I look forward to delving into them. I was aware of and had read the comments regarding the Orman/Kiyosaki smackdown, but that was a while ago.

chk999,

I've never read any of his books. The reviews I read of this offering were, in my opinion, too favorable, if you get my meaning. I've enjoyed reading the works of Peter Lynch, Benjamin Graham and Dave Ramsey and Clark Howard, with Graham being my favorite.

I read a large part of the book and it has good information.  In fact it helped me decide which CAPS stocks to pick.  I think most of his predictions are right on in the book and I encourage anyone to read his books to learn a different way of thinking and to learn how to invest better.
